Our mission is to inspire and empower the youth of Monterey County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive, and successful citizens.
EVERY DREAM NEEDS A PLAN.
At Boys & Girls Clubs, kids walk through our doors with big dreams—and we help them leave with the skills, support, and opportunities to make those dreams real. From homework help and hot meals to college and career coaching, we surround our youth with the support they need to thrive. Through the arts, sports, and hands-on STEAM projects, they build confidence, discover their strengths, and shape their futures. Your support fuels life-changing programs that guide youth from curiosity to confidence, from “I want to be...” to “I can and I will.” Join us in turning dreams into plans—and plans into bright futures.
America needs Club kids. And Club kids need YOU!
Through a combination of after-school and out-of-school programming, along with targeted services, BGCMC supports youth ages 6-18 and young adults ages 19-24, primarily during after-school hours and school breaks. Last year, we served 6,000 youth through our diverse programs and services. We currently operate two Clubhouses: one at 85 Maryal Dr. in Salinas, CA, and another at 1332 La Salle Ave. in Seaside, CA. In addition, we offer programming at 15 schools across the region, including those in South County—Gonzales, Greenfield, and Soledad. We are actively exploring opportunities for expansion, with plans to add additional after-school sites.
As an alum, I am now able to look back at my Club experience to see how much the Club helped me plan for my future. Being a part of the College and Career Readiness program, I was able to get a lot of resources. Staff helped me research colleges and took me on many college tours. I even received a scholarship! I mentioned to my staff mentor that I was interested in Aerospace Engineering and they set up an opportunity to meet representatives from NASA. That connection gave me the inspiration I needed to start my college journey, and now I am attending Cal Poly as an Aerospace Engineering major. Even as an alum, the Club staff still reaches out to me to give me college, job, and life guidance as part of the Future Ready program.
