You answered the call. A record number of donors raised a record total for 170 local nonprofits in the 2021 Monterey County Gives! campaign.

Our mission is to serve the community first and foremost. We have done that by providing a public pool for seasonal recreational swimming, water safety programs, a swim team, free water safety classes for high risk kids, lifeguard trainings, and providing first time jobs as lifeguards for high school students, mentoring them along the way. In 2020 we contracted with the YMCA to provide a distance learning program during COVID. We then transitioned into providing a summer camp for 2021. We will be offering an after school program for Tularcitos Elementary School students this coming school year. The kids have a nice and safe environment at the community center. We are excited to say we are also planning an all- inclusive brand new playground as we work with Tatum's Garden Foundation! Our fundraising events are always fun for the whole family!
The Carmel Valley Community Youth Center has served the unique needs of the community for more than 60 years. This nonprofit provides public pool and water safety programs, as well as newly developed summer camp and after-school programs as a response to the pandemic. Donations through MCGives! will support Santa’s Fly-In, a long-standing holiday tradition. This event brings the community together with a parade, youth activities and a helicopter visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
"I like Santa's Fly-In. My favorite part is riding in the parade with my Girls Scout Troop! I also like being able to see Santa with my sister! We have so much fun watching the helicopter land and Santa and Mrs. Claus get out to wave at everyone!"
