Mission

The Carmel Youth Center's (CYC) mission is to provide a positive environment for the youth of Carmel and surrounding communities and to provide volunteerism and peer mentoring in the arts, athletics, and academics.

The Big Idea

We are the CYC, a youth development organization that offers afterschool and summer care programs for elementary and middle school-aged kids in Monterey Peninsula, Salinas, and Carmel Valley areas. Our goal is to provide enriching and creative activities that foster personal growth and development. Our CYC team is privileged to support these vibrant young minds. Our programs focus on three pillars of enrichment: mindful movement, art, STEM, and leadership development. We offer a variety of activities such as yoga, book clubs, gardening, cooking lessons, and engineering challenges to teach children about different art forms and boost their skills. These programs provide a fun and safe environment for youth to develop their leadership, confidence, and decision-making skills.

We can't say enough good things about the CYC! They offer our kids so much care, love, and support and go above and beyond for each child and their individual needs. We are grateful we found CYC!!
