Central Coast Quality of Life Programs

Mission

The Central Coast Quality of Life Programs (CCQLP) recognizes that people living with chronic illness have unmet needs. CCQLP is committed to filling these gaps by improving the quality of life of persons with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the tri-county area of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito. Our programs serve families living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in Monterey County. We work with clients and their families to create comprehensive individual plans and programs that support client independence. All of our services are free.

The Big Idea

CCQLP provides a variety of support services to our client community. One of the most unique and popular programs offered by our agency is our free Adaptive Exercise Program hosted at the Monterey Sports Center. We currently offer one yoga class and two water aerobics classes per week. This program provides an important opportunity for socialization and exercise for many people who have often become isolated due to their disease.

Everyone needs physical activity for good health and CCQLP is seeking support for the continued availability of this free wellness program offered to our client community.

CCQLP's water aerobics program is magic. It is the single most important thing I do during the week. It maintains my mobility.
