Community Fund for Carmel Valley

Mission

Community Fund for Carmel Valley (CFCV) protects and improves the quality of life for all residents and support and foster the vibrancy of the Carmel Valley community.

The Big Idea

The Community Fund for Carmel Valley (CFCV) fosters positive change and enhances the quality of life in the Carmel Valley community. Committed to local empowerment, the CFCV provides grants to nonprofits addressing critical needs and opportunities within the region.

Grants support a wide variety of projects and programs including the Carmel Valley Community Youth Center, Hastings Preserve youth programs, the Cachagua Fire Protection District and other organizations offering important services to Carmel Valley residents of all ages. CFCV also mobilizes quickly in times of emergencies, such as 2020 fires and this year’s floods, aiding those affected and maximizing rapid response through relief and recovery grants.

Focused on inclusivity and sustainability, the CFCV plays a pivotal role in nurturing a strong sense of belonging and resilience, ensuring a vibrant and thriving community for generations to come. Led by a local advisory board, it is an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County.

I have decided to join the board here at CFCV because I was able to witness the amazing impact that this organization has had on this community. Since its inception it continues to focus on supporting school-aged children in our community and strives to provide opportunities for our remote, outlying, and underserved areas.
