YOU DID IT!
You answered the call. A record number of donors raised a record total for 162 local nonprofits in the 2020 Monterey County Gives! campaign.
Thank you for stepping up.
-The Monterey County Gives! team.
The Grower-Shipper Association Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) organization founded in 2003 that provides education and information about the agricultural industry. We offer innovative programs in the community that emphasizes the positive impact agriculture makes to our lives.
The Grower-Shipper Foundation’s Ag Against Hunger campaign is getting food during the Covid-19 crisis to people who need it. They help connect those with produce to places that need it, facilitating produce donations to food banks, community groups and schools. Monterey County’s essential workers and their children are in great need of healthy and affordable food options, and the Ag Against Hunger initiative is helping with distribution of food to local growers to disseminate to workers. In partnership with the Food Bank for Monterey County, the foundation connects excess produce from the local grower community, through product donation and from our gleaning program.
The food box distribution with farm workers turned out great. People like you are what our community is all about. Coming together in a time of need. Thank you once again and we will get through this TOGETHER.
