Grower-Shipper Foundation

The Grower-Shipper Association Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) organization founded in 2003 that provides education and information about the agricultural industry. We offer innovative programs in the community that emphasizes the positive impact agriculture makes on our lives.

The Big Idea

As residents of the Salad Bowl of the World, understanding this sector of our economy is vital – as well as supporting those who make it possible. The Grower-Shipper Foundation teaches the positive impact of the agriculture industry. The foundation’s Big Idea, the Ag Against Hunger program, donates fresh produce back to the farmworkers who nurture these crops every day. During the Covid crisis, more than 100,000 Farmers to Families food boxes were delivered to these essential workers.

"The food distribution with farmworkers turned out great. People like you are what our community is all about. Coming together in a time of need. Thank you once again and we will get through this TOGETHER."
