Mission

Guitars not Guns is a nonprofit charity providing guitars and lessons to at-risk youth in an effort to provide them with an alternative to violence.

The Big Idea

Guitars Not Guns provides free guitars and guitars lessons to the youth of Monterey County. In the last 13 years we have served over 2,500 children in our community. We want to build on this and ensure that all schools have access to guitars and related accessories. In order to accomplish we will set up an application process for schools to apply for the acquisition of guitars. Guitars Not Guns has access to guitars and accessories at very good prices. With funding we can help provide guitars to schools in need.

Guitars Not Guns is an amazing program that has helped me develop musically and personally. With great instructors and fun lessons to learn I have been able to take my guitar to a new level.
