It is our mission to provide end-of-life care for residents of Monterey County. We will provide a safe, caring environment for them to spend their final days in comfort and with dignity. We provide a safety net for those individuals and their family members at a time when they need it most.

The Big Idea

Jerry's Place - the only social model hospice in Monterey County. We are providing end of life care and lodging at no cost to our residents. Individuals can live their final days spending quality time with their family members, saying goodbyes, sharing last thoughts and prayers and passing peacefully, with dignity in a quiet caring environment. Jerry's Place helps both the resident and their family members by going through the end-of-life journey with them, providing care and support during a difficult time and helping them make the most of their final days together.

Jerry's Place, is named after Jerome Rubin, MD. He was responsible for establishing the first hospice house in Monterey County and ultimately responsible for convincing Medicare to provide paid Hospice Benefits to its members on a national basis. Jerry was devoted to the care of his patients and to those at end-of-life. Jerry's Place stands in his honor.

Thank you for helping my father-in-law in his final days. You helped so much during the whole process, which is hard and stressful. It is comforting to know he had great care. It brought peace of mind to Daniel (son) and me, to know he was comfortable and well cared for. We are forever grateful to you and your team.
