Our mission is to fund scholarships for local students to promote the hospitality labor force in Monterey County, in hopes of developing the next generation of hospitality leaders, and to preserve the legacy of the late restauranteur John Spadaro.
Using the legacy of John Spadaro, whose restaurant skills exemplified customer service, each year our organization holds a ceremony, The John Spadaro Annual Hospitality Awards, to acknowledge local individuals in the hospitality industry who carry on, the spirit and actions, of the legacy of John Spadaro.
Amanda Blake, a 22-year-old student from Monterey, California, who is currently enrolled in the Hospitality Program at Monterey Peninsula College, has been awarded a scholarship from our organization. Amanda expressed her gratitude, saying that the scholarship would relieve some of the financial pressure on her and her family. She also feels honored to be a recipient and is motivated to work harder in her studies so that she can eventually give back to others in the same way.
