Assuring compassionate treatment of all animals through rescue, rehabilitation, protection and education.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for Monterey County (SPCA) offers the Treatment, Learning, and Compassion (TLC) program for desperate, vulnerable animals, providing them with medical and behavioral care. TLC provides the veterinary care and/or behavioral intervention needed for homeless, abused, or neglected pets to make them happy, healthy and adoptable in a forever home. Last year, the TLC program rehabilitated and found new homes for over 1,500 cats and dogs, roughly 45 percent of the total animals adopted out of the SPCA Monterey County.
I don’t think [Clarence] has any idea he has three legs, he’s still happy and loving and a great dog. I’m so thankful the SPCA saved Clarence.
