Sophie’s Heart was created to offer hope and support services to children and their families affected by congenital heart defects, at the same time improving the quality of life for these children and promote public awareness in our communities.
The Big Idea
Due to the recent growth of the Ronald McDonald House our organization has a greater need to provide meals to parents of critically ill children who are facing heart surgeries.
Our big idea is to not only provide one meal per month for children and families served through the Ronald McDonald Houses but to also provide Mother’s Day Brunch, a Thanksgiving Day meal and pay for one to two families lodging expenses per month as our budget allows.
“Our family would not have had access to lodging without the support of Sophie’s Heart. They made a difficult time for our family a little easier by assisting us with food and lodging during our stay in Palo Alto.”
