Lyceum of Monterey County

The Lyceum’s mission is to inspire a life-long love of learning through enrichment programs that stimulate intellectual promise, awaken individual creativity, and foster academic achievement.

The Big Idea

We shall provide scholarships to challenging academic events and enrichment classes to children, organizations, and families from throughout Monterey County.

The Lyceum Enrichment Center will continue to provide enrichment education scholarships for deserving students and organizations from throughout Monterey County. Many schools and organizations struggle to raise funding for participation in our academic events. Last year we funded two high schools (Alisal and Gonzales) to participate in the Mock Trial. We provided scholarships to summer camps and enrichment classes to thirty individuals.

I’m writing now to share with you some of what Lyceum has brought into the lives of our children.

The range of classes offered was wide and they wanted to take every one.
We would schedule and prioritize, trying to fit in as many as we could manage.
Theater arts, writing, drawing, creative problem solving, math projects – they enjoyed every bit of it, taught by remarkable, enthusiastic teachers!

Lyceum played a pivotal role for Catherine and David, eventually helping them find their career choices.
