RotaCare Monterey Clinic

Mission

“RotaCare is a volunteer-driven and patient-centered provider of free health care for the uninsured and underserved in our community.”

The Big Idea

Operating out of the Seaside Family Health Center, RotaCare Monterey County provides free healthcare to uninsured and underserved residents. Volunteer medical providers serve patients with urgent conditions, like diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. In addition to qualified clinical staff, RotaCare offers Spanish interpreters, a stress counselor and registered dietitians to provide accessible, holistic health care. This nonprofit’s Big Idea is to maintain its operations, including offering free diagnostic testing, medication management, specialty and social service referrals, and telehealth visits.

I have been a patient for RotaCare for the last 5 years. I am a diabetic and all of the staff at RotaCare have helped me with managing my diabetes. I have also had the help from the nutritionist to eat healthy foods and exercise. Any health concerns that I have had the clinic has always been helpful and have referred me to specialists, labs and any other tests needed. Dr. Thompson and Claudia have always been very helpful and responsive whenever I have had a concern regarding my health. They are my angels. I am forever grateful for all that the clinic has done for me. I am thankful for all of the RotaCare team and all that they do for the patients and our community.
