Max’s Helping Paws Foundation

Mission

Our mission is to be a financial lifeline for responsible pet owners suffering hardship with a pet in a health crisis.

The Big Idea

A founding principal of Max’s is support of responsible pet owners who make good decisions on behalf of their pet. One of the ways we evaluate responsibility is the ability of the pet owner to contribute to cost of treatment. After receiving 100+ applications, we now recognize this isn’t always possible.

With a strong commitment to seniors, veterans, those on disability or fixed income, we need to increase our financial grant in some circumstances, so we can keep families intact and the pet at home where he or she belongs. As a 100% volunteer organization, we must currently adhere to our requirement of pet owner contribution. For those whose only resource is love of family, a matching grant may as well be no grant at all. We desperately need the ability to offer additional financial resource to better provide support to the pets and people the most in need.

MHPF did everything they possibly could and in fact went above and beyond to help me try and save my little Kiwi girl. I was treated with kindness and understanding and they were so helpful. Best treatment during an awful situation. I have nothing but love for this foundation. They truly care about people and dearly beloved animals and will do everything they can to help.
